Is this friendship worth it?

My friend has not had a job since 2008. He has looked but not very long or was too lazy to look for one. He talks to ladies on the internet most of the time. He has met a few ladies from the net. Those relationship do not last long. They end up cheating on him or stop talking to him when they really find out what he really is like in person. He met this lady trucker back in May of this year. (online) In August, she was stupid enough to take him on the road w/ her. He called me up (I stopped calling his cell) I used to call his cell. It would go to voice mail or he would have the phone turned off. So why bother? He calls me tells me where they are and what they are hauling. Places they stopped. (Mostly truck stops) In the past few weeks. He keeps saying" I do not know" He'll be on the phone for about an hour with me. One time he called about 11:00p.m. We talked about 30 minutes. He asked me "Oh do you have to work in the morning?" I told him I do and have to be there at 7am. "Well I better let you go" "Call me when you get back from work the next day?" he asked. So I call and the phone goes to voice mail. He will call back about two hours later. His reason was he was taking a nap while the lady drives. Sometimes we will go months with out talking to one another.
