Can you dye over bleached hair?

So the bottom half of my hair was bleached but now it's like a Carmel color. The top is dark brown. I want to dye my whole hair auburn. But I'm afraid the bottom half will turn Ronald mcdonald red. Will it come out even?Please help. I really want to dye my hair but I'm afraid haha
