Would you turn your job into the health department even if?

it would cost you your job or you would be laid off? The thing is I work for a Optometrist & my mom works next door in the Optical department. We have been seeing roaches lately & so have our patients. We told the owner & he isn't doing anything about it. I'm not working with roaches & I certainly am not trying to carry one home in my purse. My mom doesn't want me to call the Health Department because she thinks they will shut us down or we will get laid off. What should I do?
