What are the retainers that hold the airbag in a 97 Monte Carlo? They are not Flathead or Philips.?

I have a problem getting my airbag cover off to replace my turn signal switch and the 2 holes in the back of the steering wheel are neither Philips or Flathead screws. Could they be star shaped or is there a certain screw that I would need to find in order to use and get it open?
