Does the imagery in this Sylvia Plath poem suggest suicide was justifiable?

I don't know. Seems justified in *his* mind, he's the one walking into the water. Does the writer suggest the subject is justified? She doesn't make the alternative sound too attractive at that time - a machine to breathe and beat forever. Seems to suggest it's not just a bad day. Thanks for posting that. Excellent poem.
